    Sir:
I’m trying to use pdfcrypt to decrypt a pdf file on a Windows 7 Pro system. I started a command prompt, moved to the directory where pdfcrypt is resident, and typed:

    “pdfcrypt.exe input.pdf output.pdf decrypt”

where input.pdf was the name of a pdf file I had moved to the same directory. I got a black screen for a few seconds, and then the program exited to the command prompt without generating an output file.

    I also tried:

    “pdfcrypt.exe input.pdf output.pdf decrypt 11111111″
    and
    “pdfcrypt.exe input output decrypt”

but no output was generated. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

pdfcrypt is some outdate, I recommend mubusy(part of mupdf) for you. it supports the last version AES256.
